Strengthening the Southeastern Caraga Mission via Systematic Giving

The Southeastern Caraga Mission welcomed 800 delegates from throughout the region to its first mission-wide meeting on April 4-6, 2024, in an unparalleled show of unity and purpose. With the theme “God Give First,” the significance of adopting a life of faithful stewardship was emphasized, especially via the consistent and systematic giving of tithe and offering.

It was a two-day event packed with powerful testimonials shared by “Team Gugma” of Baan Seventh day Adventist Church and individuals whose lives had been transformed by the act of faithful giving. Their stories served as poignant reminders of the impact that generosity can have, both spiritually and practically.

On the first night of the event, April 4, 2024, at Bayugan Central Church, Pastor Danilo Palomares, the President of Southeastern Philippine Union Mission, and the stewardship directors from the Southern Asia Pacific Division welcomed the delegates, led by Pr. Jibil Simbah, Pr. Dante Baducol the SePUM stewardship Director, Pr. Michael Capapas the SwPUC Stewardship Director and Pr. Rogelio Jimenez the stewardship Director of SCM.

The key messages resonating throughout the seminar was the importance of trusting in Jesus Christ as the ultimate provider and sustainer of all things. Brethren were encouraged to acknowledge their own nothingness by surrendering their lives completely to God’s sovereignty, recognizing Him as the creator and owner of all that exists.

As Pastor Jemsly Lantaya the President of Southeastern Caraga Mission draws from the words of Philippians 4:19 (NIV) in his powerful message during the commitment service saying, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus,” attendees were reminded of God’s unfailing promise to provide for His children’s every need when they place their trust in Him wholeheartedly.

Brethren, Southeastern Caraga Mission staff led by the administrators, directors, and pastors pledged to honor God with their first fruits, recognizing His faithfulness and provision in their lives. Through heartfelt worship and prayer, the crowd surrendered their hearts to the divine will of the Almighty, committing to live lives marked by generosity, humility, and unwavering faith.
