“The God we serve is a God of surprises; after much prayers, planning, and persistent communication with our alumna donor, God stepped in and orchestrated the fulfillment of this dream project,” New Mt. Olive SDA Elementary School Principal Ma’am Janice Goyo tearfully and joyfully emphasized as she delivered the Opening Remarks and History of the Building at the Blessing & Thanksgiving Ceremony of the Nicey Boarding House, Mt. Olive, Bayugan, Agusan del Sur, Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Ma’am Goyo testified how God moved Nicey Literatus, the generous donor of the said boarding house, into sponsoring the development of the building as a way of augmenting the income of NMOSDAES. She mentioned that with over Php 400,000-worth of financial resources from the donor, God alone deserves all the glory and honor for His Spirit has stirred the said donor to share until the full completion of the said project.
“God is not done with NMOSDAES yet; He will continue to bless this school until He comes!” SCM Education & Communication Director Pastor Jesreel Mercader’s message focused on a merciful, mighty, and miracle-working God Who never runs out of resources. He recounted how God had proven Himself faithful in his own leadership as former principal of Mindanao Mission Academy whose enormous growth has now become an icon of God’s amazing grace.
Attended by the NMOSDAES teachers and school board members, the event climaxed with the ribbon-cutting led by SCM President Pastor Jemsly Lantaya with WM/FM/ChM/MSA Director Ma’am Luzijun Lantaya assisting—-and the president’s closing remarks which followed afterwards.
“I praise God for the great change wrought in NMOSDAES through the renovations done in this building; I am thankful to God for the leadership of Ma’am Janice Goyo and the support of the school board and teachers,” declared Pastor Lantaya at the close of the said event.
God has once again manifested His power in SCM as a revelation that life is all about Him—-and not about men, money, or material wealth. Indeed, He alone is worthy of SCM’s utmost applause and heartfelt worship.
