61 nightly attendees of the Health and Family Seminar accepted Christ through baptism—after a weeklong series of health and family lectures from October 25-November 1, 2025 at Barangay Caimpugan, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
Initiated by SCM Accounting Department, the said evangelistic campaign was set Sabbaths before the actual crusade to prepare hearts and minds of attendees. Mission-driven couple, SCM Accountant Sister Mary Jane and husband, Brother Neil Dela Cruz, started meeting with members of the community three consecutive Sabbaths before the start of the said crusade.
“The success of the Caimpugan crusade, a united effort by Buenasuerte, Pasta, and Lapinigan, supported financially by SCM departments and outside donors initiated by a missionary couple, came as no surprise—it was prayed for, asked, believed in, and claimed from God,” Sister Dela Cruz testified.
Nightly meetings started with lectures on healthy use of technology, proper grooming, health, environment, and temperance. Parents, children, youth, and young adults participate actively through attendance, interaction, and feedback.
“When my grandparents, member of Iglesia ni Kristo, knew that I am now a Seventh-day Adventist they were happy and told me to continue on the faith,” one of the newly-baptized brother, shared.
“I used to be confused why swine is forbidden; I am glad now I have understood the truth,” another newly-baptized sister, added.
“It’s heartwarming to see people accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior,” SCM Treasurer Mr Reynaldo Durano Jr added.
SCM Youth & Health Director Pastor Minoru Efren Estrada, main speaker of the said event, expressed his gratitude and personal observation on the campaign in these words: “The people in Caimpugan were very receptive of the message. While I did the lecture they listened attentively and I could see in their eyes that they wanted to learn more aside from the gifts they received nightly. What was more inspiring was when I witnessed their sobbing as they moved forward—in front of the audience—while I called for those who wanted to follow Jesus through baptism. Of course, with the aid of the Holy Spirit and the humble prayers of the brethren, God’s presence was with us the whole week and the result was great success and harvest of souls.”
