San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, Philippines. A renewed spirit of mission and unity filled the AVCC Convention Center in Safragemcy Village, San Isidro, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, as 766 delegates from various churches across the Southeastern Caraga Mission (SCM) gathered for the MissionREACH 2026 Orientation on February 28, 2026.
The Mission REAPS (or Mission REACH) program is a five-year strategic initiative (2026–2030) launched by the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that aims to give a comprehensive evangelism and soul-caring strategy designed to “reach people, places, and possibilities” with the gospel of hope and love.
MissionREACH 2026 serves as a coordinated evangelism inventiveness designed to mobilize church members across the mission territory to actively participate in gospel outreach, Bible studies, and community ministries. The gathering brought together pastors, church officers and leaders, and lay members with one shared purpose: to strengthen the church’s evangelistic movement and encourage Total Member Involvement (TMI) in reaching communities with the message of hope.
Through this effort, leaders emphasized that every believer has a vital role in fulfilling Christ’s commission. The initiative focuses not only on sharing the Adventist message with those who have not yet heard it but also on reaching out to former members to encourage and bring them back to reconnect with the church and their faith community.
During the orientation, church leaders presented the vision, strategies, and goals of MissionREACH 2026, encouraging delegates to become intentional in engaging their local churches and communities in evangelistic work. The program also featured moments of worship and prayer, reminding participants that the success of the mission depends on spiritual commitment and reliance on God.
Church leaders highlighted that evangelism is not limited to pastors or church officers but is a calling entrusted to every member of the church. By working together in unity, they said, the church can effectively reach more people and strengthen the mission of proclaiming the gospel.
Southeastern Philippine Union Mission President Pastor Danielo Magdadaro describes Mission REACH as a “movement where every believer is empowered to act, serve, and witness in their community and beyond.”
Delegates responded with enthusiasm and a renewed sense of responsibility as they prepared to return to their respective districts and congregations. Many expressed their commitment to support the mission’s evangelistic initiatives by actively participating in outreach programs and strengthening ministries within their local churches.
As the gathering concluded, participants left inspired and determined to take their part in God’s mission. With hearts united and eyes fixed on the task ahead, the churches of the Southeastern Caraga Mission move forward together, proclaiming the message of hope and salvation to every community, while preparing people everywhere for the soon return of Jesus Christ.
