Three words to describe the 2025 Women’s Convention of Southeastern Caraga Mission held at Forest Hills Academy, Magkiangkang, Bayugan, Agusan del Sur.
Attended by 1,301 women representing 43 districts from all over Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur—the very first Women’s Convention in SCM themed, “Made to Flourish to Go Reach and Light Our World”—focused on enlightening, engaging, and empowering women in the pursuit of a more Spirit-filled, service-driven personal life and a holistic evangelistic lifestyle.
Fun-packed, team-building, and spiritually-enriching activities brought life and color to the overall candor of the event; activities included Songs and Yells presentation (August 22 afternoon), Revelation 14 Playlet (August 22 evening), Talk Show with women of faith and resilience (August 23 morning), Soulful Sermon during the Hour of Worship from MVC President Pastor Remwel Tornalejo (August 23 midmorning), Legal Forum with Judge Chalmer Gevieso (August 23 afternoon), Pangkabuhayan Show Down (August 23 evening), Charobix (August 24 morning), Booth Beauty & Health Display (August 24 morning), and the Nutritious Cooking Extravaganza (August 24).
Empowered women guests SSD Women’s Ministries Director Ma’am Virgie Baloyo, SePUM WM Director Ma’am Lindy Magdadaro, Ret. DM LE APML Ma’am Clarita Durano, US-based businesswoman Ma’am Jocelyn Lagundino, and SCM MS Jeiel Russell Jagmoc—-all spoke with power and passion for Christ during the weekend worships.
Led by SCM Women’s Ministries Director, MS Luzijun Pleños-Lantaya, together with the all-out support of SCM administrators, pastors, ministerial spouses, and WM officers—-this historical event started and ended with a big bang, giving glory and honor to God Almighty.
