Mission-Wide ASI Fellowship Emphasizes Sharing Christ in the Marketplace

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur, October 10, 2026 — The mission of sharing the gospel does not end at the church doors. It continues in offices, businesses, classrooms, and every place where people live, work, and interact. This message took center stage during the Mission-Wide Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) Fellowship held in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, under the theme “Sharing Christ in the Marketplace.”

The gathering highlighted the important role of Adventist lay members in advancing the gospel through their respective professions, businesses, and everyday encounters. It emphasized that while traditional evangelistic approaches remain significant, the growing diversity of opportunities to share the message calls for believers to use various methods and platforms to reach people with the love of Christ.

In the marketplace, evangelism takes many forms. A business owner can reflect Christ through honesty and fairness. A professional can demonstrate Christian values through excellence and integrity. An employee can become a witness through kindness, compassion, and faithful service. Beyond words, these everyday expressions of faith can open doors for meaningful conversations about God and His transforming love.

The fellowship underscored that every believer has a place in the mission of the church, regardless of profession or occupation. Sharing Christ is not limited to pastors, evangelists, or those directly involved in public preaching. Lay members, equipped with their unique skills, experiences, resources, and connections, can reach individuals and communities through avenues that may not always be accessible through conventional evangelistic methods.

This understanding reinforces the importance of mobilizing church members to become active participants in the mission of reaching people. By bringing their faith into their workplaces and communities, Adventist professionals and entrepreneurs can help extend the church’s influence beyond its physical boundaries and establish meaningful connections with people from different walks of life.

The theme, “Sharing Christ in the Marketplace,” serves as a timely reminder that the gospel can be shared wherever God’s people are found. Whether through business transactions, professional relationships, community engagement, or simple acts of kindness, every encounter can become an opportunity to reflect the character of Jesus.

As the Mission-Wide ASI Fellowship brought together members committed to this calling, it emphasized a broader vision of evangelism, one that recognizes the value of diverse approaches in spreading the gospel and the contribution of every church member to the mission.

Ultimately, the marketplace is more than a place of livelihood; it is also a mission field. Through lives shaped by Christ and professions dedicated to His service, Adventist lay members can demonstrate that sharing the gospel is not merely an activity performed at a designated time or place but a daily commitment to making Jesus known.

When faith meets the marketplace, every profession becomes an opportunity for mission, and every believer becomes a potential messenger of hope.
