SCM Elects Leaders for Quinquennium 2026-2030

Pastor Danielo Palomares delivers a message alongside the newly elected directors and nominating committee after the announcement of the results.

Over 300 delegates participated in the Second Constituency Meeting of Southeastern Caraga Mission held on December 2, 2025 at the Agusan del Sur Electric Cooperative (ASELCO) Gym, San Isidro, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Themed “Integrated for Mission,” the event aimed to: firstly, document the approval of Executive Committee Meeting Minutes by SCM constituents represented by the delegates present; secondly, elect department directors who would work alongside the administration for the next five years.

Administrators and directors from Southeastern Philippine Union Mission in attendance included Pastor Danielo Palomares (President), Pastor Edwin Magdadaro (Executive Secretary), and Mr. Laurence Lamera (Treasurer), together with the directors. With SePUM officers, presidents from NDM, SCMM, SMM, and DM also attended the event.

36 delegates chosen from the 8 clusters of SCM territories (comprising churches in Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur) participated in the Organizing Committee where 16 delegates (not from within the said committee) were carefully chosen to represent the whole delegation in the Nominating Committee.

After 2 hours and a half, the Organizing Committee, chaired by SePUM Executive Secretary Pastor Edwin Magdadaro, announced the chosen members of the Nominating Committee—which, in turn, started their one-hour-and-a-half prayer-filled nomination of workers who would assume leadership in the various departments of SCM from 2026 to 2030.

SePUM President Pastor Danielo Palomares chaired the Nominating Committee, which approved the following workers to serve SCM departments:

Pastor Clinton Dumangcas from Cagwait District and member of the Nominating Committee expressed his personal observation this way—

“As a member of the Nominating Committee, I witnessed firsthand the solemn and sacred responsibility entrusted to us. Our task was to choose the directors for SCM’s next quinquennium, and we approached it with reverence and prayer. Through prayer, positive dialogue, and a focus on strengths, we achieved unity and success in choosing the directors for SCM’s next quinquennium. We trust that our decisions reflect God’s will and will lead to the advancement of His kingdom.”

Upon presentation of the elected directors before the whole body of delegates, SCM Chief Accountant and secretary of the Nominating Committee Mary Jane Dela Cruz gave the motion for approval and acceptance of the elected officers. Pastor Palomares then acknowledged the affirmative votes of the majority through a show of hands.

The said event closed with the brief commitment message and the dedicatory prayer of Pastor Palomares for the newly elected directors.
